Trauma Reconstruction
After trauma to the eyelids and periocular tissue, it takes specialized skill, training, and experience to achieve a good functional and aesthetic result. A complex eyelid laceration, for example, involves careful closure of tissue and a good understanding of eyelid anatomy to have an eyelid which functions normally and appears normal. Lacerations involving the lacrimal passages (canaliculi) require specialized repair using a very small stent. Many procedures can be done in the office. Urgent patient matters can often be attended to rapidly.
